Our Recycling Process
SungEel India is a subsidiary of SungEel Hitech, a world-leading secondary battery recycling company. We have a patented recycling technology to extract valuable metals like cobalt, lithium, nickel, manganese, aluminium, etc. We follow a comprehensive and environmentally responsible recycling process for Li-ion batteries.
Safe Collection
We collect used Li-ion batteries from various sources, including electronic waste recycling centers, battery collection points, and manufacturers' take-back programs.
Sorting and Decontamination
Our expert team sorts the batteries by chemistry and size. We ensure that all hazardous components, such as electrolytes and plastics, are properly removed through decontamination.
Mechanical Shredding
The batteries are then mechanically shredded into small pieces, which aid in the subsequent material separation.
Hydrometallurgical Extraction
We use a hydrometallurgical process to extract valuable metals like lithium, cobalt, nickel, and copper. This process is designed to be environmentally friendly and resource-efficient.
Refining and Reuse
The recovered metals undergo refining processes to meet industry specifications. These recycled materials can then be reused in battery manufacturing and other applications, closing the loop, and reducing the need for new raw materials.
